Yeah rrriiiggghhhtt!! I can hear Ted now. His kind heart and fun loving ways are missed by all who were lucky enough to call him their friend. The memories were fond; from little league baseball, Pizza Hut was our team, with James Graham, Bellamy DeRosset, Rick Ramey, and Jay Easley to the crazy biology class with Mark Black, Clifton Perkins, Dan Roberts, Ron Pittard and who knows who else (was it Ted that jumped out the window during class while the teacher wasn't looking), to the times we had at ECU with Tom Aloi and Ted's sister, Meg. I will never forget the time Ted called me over Christmas break in 1990 telling me he thought he had found my stolen mountain bike. Ted followed the guy he saw riding it to his home, went to the Bicycle Post where I had purchased the bike to get the serial number and then showed up at the guys house with Greenville's finest to collect, what a Christmas present. He didnt have to do all that, but that was Ted.

I have become good friends with Ted's little brother, Josh, who misses Ted dearly. Josh started The Ted Chenery Memorial Fund. There is an oyster roast and a dove hunt every year to raise money, in Ted's name, in order to help kids better appreciate and enjoy the outdoors, because that's what Ted loved so much. The money raised also enables needy chidren to attend Camp Seagull and Seafarer, who would otherwise not be able. If you are interested in attending or would like to donate money to this great cause, you can go to tedchenery.org to find out more.

Rest in Peace, Ted. We love you and miss you.
